Jan Smuts

Jan Christian Smuts (1870-1950) was a South African statesman, military leader, and philosopher known for his significant role in the Boer War, his contributions to the League of Nations, his service as Prime Minister of the Union of South Africa and his support for racial segregation and white supremacy.
